Foundation's Edge

The events of the first part of the "Foundation's Edge" trilogy unfold in the distant future, when people have already inhabited the planets of millions of star systems in the Galaxy and even forgot that their ancestors lived on Earth. Mathematician, psycho-historian Harry Seldon predicts the imminent end of the Galactic Empire and proposes to create the Academy, which will become the basis for the formation of a new empire, to alleviate the consequences of this catastrophe. Will his followers be able to carry out this ambitious plan, or is humanity doomed to languish in darkness for a few more millennia?
